These are full power loads that mimic the external ballistics of the corresponding Speer Gold Dot defensive ammunition, one of the most widely used carry loads among CCW licensees and police officers.
This ammo fires total metal jacket bullets, which may not be suitable for firearms with ported barrels due to shearing issues. However, TMJ bullets also have fully encapsulated bases, which helps reduce lead exposure when shooting in poorly ventilated environments such as indoor ranges. Speer ammunition is manufactured in Lewiston, Idaho using reloadable brass and non-corrosive primers from Speer’s sister company, CCI.
